Better yet, skip angular2 and go for a useful language

Yes, if you're learning anything new, go straight to the newest version.

@shellbug but angularjs is more used in companies even for new projects. Also react and vue are more requested than angular. So I would say AngularJS, React or Vuejs.

Also AngularJS and Angular are not comparable. Dont learn angularJs so you can learn Angular.

Y would you want to learn ionic, it makes the slowest performing apps possible.

Also, Angular 2 is shit, 4 is slightly better, so on less your taking that route for a specific career path, you really just wasting energy, companies with real devs stick with 1 or use something modern that was not shat out of googles asshole.

Go with Angular 2! I've tried both ionic versions and enjoyed the latest one the most. Apart from testing. Also don't listen to the guys only hating on angular and Ionic.

@RTRMS Right. My uni, which is the most well known and scoring of my country have no reason to teach both ionic and Angular. Obviously a useless language 😬

Well at the moment almost no companies use it in the Netherlands, nobody knows what techniques will be used in 5 years. Not even the best uni in the world.

@Codex404 I mean, it's not like it's the only thing I know. Things I know best are Javascript/NodeJS and swift, but I'm not going to say Angular and Ionic is completely useless.

@stijnie2210 knowledge is never useless. But should someone invest time in something which is currently not wanted (and from the companies Ive spoken to it wont be wanted in the future because of typescript) instead of investing that time in another framework which is requested a lot?

Dont understand me wrong, I like angular, but if no one is using it, the time learning it could be spent better.
