back-end dev - no design and (at least for me) more interesting and easier
front-end + mobile app - if the app for the three or at least the two main platforms and site design is a lot more work(depending on the site complexity) but note that making mobile apps is always fun even without cross platform tools like xamarin.
If you love learning new things go with the option you are less experienced with and give all your best. -
vertti4537yDo backend. Just css alone will kill you on the front end side. Plus learning a new js framework once every 3 months

That's my advice.
Edit: this doesn't mean forego backend entirely. But frontend will translate well to any other web dev job. Go for full-stack! Besides, front-end js experience applies quite well to backend nodejs. -
