DREAMS: I was given a junior, my journey for leading a team is starting!
REALITY: this guy works 4 hours per day, 3 days off per week, during those 4 hours 2 of them are spent solving trivial supposed he's supposed to handle on his own by now, he doesn't write documentation, on top of that he takes vacations here and there and I'm honestly not sure what task I'm even supposed to give him because at this point it's just easier to work a couple hours overtime and just do his stuff myself.

It might be currently less efficient to let him do some tasks, but it the long run this might switch if you assign tasks to him. He will learn and become more efficient. On-Boarding is always exspensive

@KDSBest he's been here for 3 years now and doesn't want to be a developer in the future, I know onboarding is expensive but this doesn't even look like an investment.

Can’t really blame the guy for 4 hours per day. If I can code for like 2 hours straight I’d be happy already
