Is there any multi server monitoring software that doesn't open a port for itself? I am about to just write one, but it's fucking annoying that theres nothing like it out there, where you just install a service per server, that uploads its data (cpu, ram etc) to a central server without opening itself to the whole fucking internet.

You'll have to htpasswd or something it but maybe NetData?

@linuxxx I had netdata for a while now in my head, but it seems a lot more work to setup the full iptables, nginx proxy etc for something that could be just having one background task to install, that reports the current stats to the main server through some api.

@mtverlee I'll give it a look, seems to cap at 5 servers (for free), could be enough for now. Forgot datadog existed, since trying it couple years ago, thanks a lot.

But to the next devs reading this; if you have other suggestions, please do, since I would like to try as much as possible.
