Whenever I feel like I’m not good enough at my trade, I come here to read a few rants. While I am a failure, it’s so nice to know there are even more disappointing devs around.

Yeah I am not sure what to say here.

@Sid2006 pretty sure he is talking about JS devs.

@Sid2006 obviously not everyone, but a relatively large portion, at least during the last few years. There’s some real smart people here, but the general populus seems to be so full of brain farts it makes me wanna nuke humanity on a normal day. On a bad day, it just makes me feel better.

@Demolishun sometimes I think JS devs are from the smarter end of the spectrum…

… but only sometimes.

There are web developers here and irl. It is an automatic moral boost.

To be fair though. Most people come here to explode, vent, or laugh off work. So I think what we see here is not necessarily representative of each person. More like a version of each person.

I know I let my silly side out here more than at work. I also complain about things I should have been able to figure out on my own. And about things I cannot complain about at work.

Wearing reflective sunglasses during a poker tournament may seem moronic to casual viewers (wouldn't the other opponents be able to see their cards?), but tournament players rarely hold their cards in a position that would result in their hands' being displayed on the reflective lenses of their glasses. Most Texas Hold'em players don't even even lift their cards up off the table, opting instead to just bend up an edge for a sneak peek:
