Just reinstall Windows Linux. Now leave the Windows and step through the doors. Linux will serve you better. It can even parse HTML using regular expressions. You don't need a vm. You need Linux.

Umm, idk why that happened with you but I have 4 centos VMs running simultaneously for testing purposes.

Strange, never had issues with Virtual Box or VMware, no matter which version of Windows I use, even Vista gave no issues

Update: Found old Hardware, installed Ubuntu and I'm using that for testing now. Fuck VMs.
