Windows is so magical. I mean it doesn't support syslog which is in a way essential in large environments. Today my coworker told me about a tool named nxlog which has the function to send log messages from windows directly to a central syslog server. It can also read files... well theoretical because nxlog does not accept ":" as a valid character... cya C:\something

    @arcadesdude well yes it can be escaped with a backslash. I was just wondering why this error comes up since ":"ist part of each path in windows.
    Fun fact: you have also to escape normal backslashes in path because otherwise things like "...\t..." will be interpreted as an tab.
