I have been testing out Manjaro and I have to say I'm impressed! Im currently running it on a 2009 hp pavillion(1.8Ghz CPU 2GB ram) and it is super responsive and even ran intellij! Gradle took a while but that's to be expected!

Should I switch my main os from Ubuntu to Manjaro? I need reasons for and against!

@mtverlee I have learnt a very hard lesson about the importance of backups, after I delete my windows partition on accident. So I'm covered if it breaks! Thanks for the warning

Also checkout arch, its the do it yourself and you can build your install to specific needs and everything is bleeding edge

@explosg I may go from Manjaro to arch. Im not sure I can handle the responsibility of arch yet. 😃

For easy arch install use arch-anywhere.
But I advise you to install arch by hand at least once :)

@luper Also check out arch anywhere. Its scripted installer for arch

Just change the desktop environment, stop any extra services that might be running, and Ubuntu will be much faster

@shaji Depends on the config of arch
