!rant

I just downloaded devRantron.
It is very slick, I like the UI way more than the official client.

@trogus , please, make the UI not so blocky.

Also, @thanik, it would be nice, if you could make devRantron an app ;)

I haven’t tried it, but I think it was mostly @tahnik, I don’t know if trogus did much with it

@calmyourtities I just want him to make the official app look better ;) also, the UI dev isnt @thanik, but I prefer tagging the project lead :)

Yeah @Dacexi designed it I believe not trogus. It's a community project, not official.

@all. I am well aware that @trogus didnt create devRantron ;)

    😃

I just wanted to ask him to make the app better. I dont like it as well as drn 😆

@linuxer4fun gotcha. You're asking him to contribute.

@ryanmhoffman nope. I ask him to change the UI in the official client ;) I believe, that @trogus can do MUCH better than what he did here. No offence intended ;)

@linuxer4fun thanks for trying it out! devRantron is already an app so I am not sure what you mean by that.

@ryanmhoffman @calmyourtities basically he is asking them to change the design of the main website or mobile app 🙃

There are some corners being cut with developing using Appcelerator, and some UI issues I would like to change. What specifically would you like to see different on the mobile app?

@trogus Well. there are some things. First, I need a landscape mode. Next, It would be nice to have a extra tablet mode (not too important though).

In general, the interface seems pretty messy, it doesnt tie into the rest of the system (android for me): there are no animations, its not a flat design (you should add shadows on button press or something). Also, its not customizeable in my opinion: why cant I say that I wannt the ++/-- button on the right instead of the left?

dont get me wrong, this app is very good, but I find devrantron so much slicker and I would like to have the official client look like it.

You should download it and look at its UI as inspiration ;)

Thanks for listening to criticism, BTW. Many startups dont do that ;)

@linuxer4fun yeah, all good points. It's been a question for us of prioritization, where "good enough" gets us by until we can re-focus on the UI after tackling bigger problems/requests. I'll look into those specific requests, may not take that long.

And as always (same goes for @dfox)

    Keep up the GREAT work!!!
