Dude, you have frameworks that will search SO for you, download , and utilise the top rated answer for you!
-
@windlessuser That seems like an awesome way to make your code fail as soon as someone edits their answer 😂

It's not that bad. I agree with them that books are the shittiest, most outdated, most biased, most mind-locking, and most retarded way to learn to code.
And maybe SO isn't good place to grt started, but it is indeed good source of things. Since answers get comments and voting, it is clear to see good information that stands up and most of the time information gets edited many times so its the easiest to understand and works best.
If YOU don't know how to take advantage of SO then it is your fault. -
lo98be6187yYeah but the same thing can be said about books, with the difference that SO isn't meant for teaching stuff, it should be more like a reference
Also, books are outdated pretty much as soon as they are printed but for me they have been the best way to learn -
TH3SN3R2107yI read other users post on SO instead of posting my own. Alotta smart people on SO but alotta dicks as well

@OverCoder you have some valid points. I'd like to point out a couple of things:
1) Sometimes people don't even know they are making a mistake by doing something. Of course they won't look it up.
2) Sometimes people are searching on SO for a wrong thing. They want to accomplish A and think they can do it with B, but there's much simpler solution C. Sometimes it's on SO in the same thread, sometimes it's not.
