My ISP just sent me an email:
I have double the bandwidth for the next 6 month while still paying the same as before. No fishy things, no special conditions...

What a time to be alive.

Mmh be wary of sudden increments to your bill due in next month.

I have had those emails before and suddenly I had automagically upgrade my package... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@PaddiM8 bandwidth translates to speed, not amount

They want you to get used to it in 6 months, then it's either upgrading your packet -> You pay $$$ or you get your old speed back -> Painful death

If I had the money I would create a ISP with double the benefits of current ones for half the price... I would get all the clients, force others to lower their prices and still get lots of profit...

Same thing happened with mine...now paying around 10$ for 65 GB at 20 mbps :)

@POTUS in Portugal you pay like 120$ for net, TV and cellphone...
My dad is getting discounts for years because of slow internet speed...
A month ago he got a Drone and something else to not quit Hehehehe

Yup my ISP did the same.

It's a trap😨, smh, rip your wallet in six months.

Ye, I'm still amazed there exist limited cable broadband. Getting 100mbps for 20$/month :)

@linuxxx In some states of the U S of A lots of people still use dial up...
On other countries you can only get satellite (usually using the phone line for upload... So 20Mb download, 20kb upload)
And there are still people not connected to tha Inter net, so... :p

I would die inside if a Deus Ex kind of situation happened... No internet worldwide...
