@C0D4 i don't see how HTML is 'universally accepted' as the programming icon. That's like saying the chinese flag is the logo of Earth because it has the largest population.

The </> tag doesn’t necessarily mean HTML. It could be XML or another Markup Language.
I would think it’s a universal icon as much as đŸ‘¤means person / user depending on context.
</> is easily identified as code, can you show me another use for it?

As for the Chinese flag being seen as a world flag, no we with have a UN flag for that. -
@C0D4 you didn't understand what I said, I said 'its like' if we had the Chinese flag as our symbol I know we don't. And markup languages don't look like c, do they? They don't look like java or c++ or any non ML either. Of course a silhouette looks like most all people unless they have a deformity. :^)
