devRant bug: delete a rant with --'s and your profile score gets increased by the number of --'s in the deleted rant. @dfox

@g-m-f well that might make sense but the way it works at this time, deleting a rant with ++'s would decrease the profile score. And that might not be acceptable to everyone.

@ShivamArora But if they shouldn't be tarnished for deleted negatives, they shouldn't be allowed to keep the positives either

@burtybob that's the point I mentioned to keep the negative score in count.

but it depends on the developers which policy they chose for devRant.

I thought the score on any comment or rant was the running total...IE if I had 10 ++ and 5 -- I would have a 5++ score. If I were to delete that rant I would make sense my overall score drops 5 because the remaining 5 ++ and the 5-- cancel each other out. Or am I not understanding this correctly?

This is expected behavior and not a bug.

Negatives might be kept in the future, but right now there's not much of a reason to.
