Noob64607y@Lahsen2016 most systems I've used lately do not have --preserve-root as default or as an alias.
Although I've never wiped my system entirely, people who claim that they've done it by a mistake are quoting only "rm - rf /". -
Noob64607y@orangelightsabr could it be that Centos overwrites it then?
Not that I tried to erase root. -
@Noob some distros did it before it was added, so they probably kept it in for consistency across custom kernels, perhaps?
