This was me 2 days ago! I ended up just doing a clean install on a new hardrive! 5/7 would recommend

We have a saying. . In Linux it wouldn't have happened

check SMART on that drive IMMIDIATELY! If anything is yellow or red on that drive, backup everything you care about, buy a new HDD (preferable a SSD) and reinstall Windows 10 (don't worry, the license is stored on MS server, just select "I dont have a product key"). Then toss the shitty HDD in the electronics recycle bin.

I ended up going back and forth installing and uninstalling shit and drivers until it finally worked some 10hours later.. And yes I'm still working on the demo and scared as shit of any reboot -_-

@sebastian fortunately it seems there's nothing wrong with my drive.. So must be windows. (thinking about a clean install)

@MaxS my record was of 8 months exclusively running on Linux, had to give up as every little problem takes an eternity to research and solve so here I am sucking Microsoft's soft balls :D
