Dear Oracle,
why do I have to have an X server running for your stupid Oracle Database to install?
Why are you sometimes capable of writing good software like VirtualBox, and then fuck up simple tasks like creating a docker image for your fucking Database? (Seriously, try it, you will not be able to set up a simple Oracle Database using their official Dockerfiles)
Also, what makes you think that -4 is the "most appropriate exit status"?!
What the fuck is wrong with you?
Fuck you really hard you proprietary piece of shit!

They aren't. Virtualbox they got from buying Sun, and wasn't even Sun that wrote it, it was some small company bought along the way. I think I still have those versions archived.

@nbamaral Okay, that's true, I didn't really think about that. Nevertheless you'd expect such a big company to be able to write normal code for fucks sake! :|

Why no one ever cares to read the docs? Especially if you install an expensive software. It is like going to drive a supercar without knowing to drive.

@konfou Well, they could've linked this in their installation docs... But yeah, I guess I just didn't search deep enough

oracle never develops software....evil elison just buys and brands it....

Don't get me started about Oracle, cause the rants and rage will spill 24/7 nonstop.

100% agree with the rant and comments. Oracle can not produce any decent software, they just buy it and rebrand.

But there's a way to install Oracle db and other crap without installing x on the same server. Just use X11Forwarding (and XMing if you're on Windows). I still refuse to bloat up production servers, despite all oracle's efforts :)

    FUCKING ORACLE DIE ALREADY!

@Ghosty That's exactly how I did it. However, they could still create fucking working docker images!
Edit: I just realized they couldn't as one can't simply buy docker images from good companies =)
