Working in company where part of team is located in Austria and these morons write evrything in fucking german, method names, comments and even the parameters which are sent to fronted. Like it isn't enough they even use special characters like ß,ü,ä and ö everywhere

    That's both bad practice and actually should be illegal, as a dane/greenlandic, I never write code in native, since language and framework is /always/ in English, and would look stupid!

    I haven't met your colleagues, but I judge them so hard!

    Lol! I'm from Germany, but we don't even write German code in Uni.

    @inukinator @killerham

    do you hear about "Domain Language"?

    -> it seems to be in use here, as it can be confusing if you have to translate from tech language to product owner language each time you speak to the product owner.
    And it can produce misunderstanding as well, if the translation is bad

    ---

    and I am for myself not sure if it is good or bad :)

    I'm from Austria and we write everything in english. I hate it when a new employee starts with german function names 🤔

    @Mislead "Lovely greetings from Austria."

    As a German guy living in Austria I code in English. This includes commit messages too.

    @lastNick ha! Wasn't even close ;) but now that i think about it. Ich liebe disch (spelling?) was of course one of the sentences we learned. That should probably have been a hint to myself that I was far off ;)

    @Mislead dich

    "Ich liebe dich." is the German "I love you".
