i'm from switzerland, when i write with my cousin in norway i write because of the keyboard layout like this.
ø = ö
å = aa
æ = ä or ae

paa lördag lärer jeg meg C#
(on sunday i learn myself C#)
it works but it looks terrible. xD

@heyheni @heyheni hehe yes, this is usually my way of dealing with it as well. It's sort of how the language was written before, I think..

FYI: You could also write ø as oe.

Even worse is character encoding for the file described in the file header (not whatever you declare within the file).

Not sure how many hours I've spent looking for the source of character bugs, especially for æøå 😀

@haabe sort of. We have this old ass project with file encoded as ISO-8859-1, but IDEA was set up for UTF-8.
