Is it racist to don an Indian accent when an Indian scammer calls you?

I got a local call from South West airlines with a guy that had an Indian accent. Sure, local to my state. Bullshit. I was tired and didn't feel like fucking with him. Probably should have to keep him from scamming someone else.

After the call I started thinking of things to say in and Indian accent. Maybe next time I will mess with them.

If- Like, race doesn't- ... Is doing any other accent racist?
Like, mocking people for their culture isn't racism... I think. It's wrong, mostly.
What if they are just a regular person with indian accent calling you for a legit company call? Like, spam is wrong still but... why try to hurt them? Right?
    Screw uncalled calls.

It isn't racist as long as you know that whatever English you speak is your accent. Which is still an accent.. American accent, English accent, Indian accent, Scottish accent etc

Fun fact : It is a popular belief that the scam calls you are getting are from India, but most of them are actually from Bangladesh, Pakistan but you won't be able to tell the difference between them if your life depended on it.
India contributes less than 30% to that. Those assholes still staining the name of India after partitioning

My on site Indian coworker (when I worked in Texas) had an Indian accent too. Since it is a country almost entirely made up of immigrants, I assumed that such a thing was fairly common.

Who cares if it's a scammer?

    Xenophobic, sure, but not racist

Add a hard "D" on every "T" and you're set.

It's not racist, it's not xenophobic and it's not any other -ism either. It's just in poor taste.

You'd be racist if you did this to every of a specific race, scammer is not a race.

you'd be xenophobic if you did this to everyone that's strange or different, scammers are not strange or different.

    you're just an annoyed citizen

as if you'll get cancelled over it.

Fuck 'em. Do what you want.

I mean, I'd say be as racist as you can with them to try and piss them off

@coldfire well, lots of it still comes from India itself

@Nanos no use doing that, u can doxx them, complain to the cops, hack them and take all data, basically anything u want.

Ultimately these people buy the cops out, which enables to just set a new shop up anytime they want and start scamming.

From some sources I read long ago, they estimate people losing close to $400 million a year falling prey to these scammers. It's wild.

@Nanos On the contrary, it's better to be angry, slow and partially deaf.
I make them repeat things 5-6 times, have useless conversation for 15-20 minutes, the more i can frustrate the better. There's now an ai powered bots dedicated to reverse spamming the spammers called Apate

You're dabbing on scammers, why would you care about political correctness

Well it was a fake South West call. So I wanted to ask about tickets to the moon since India goes to the moon now.

Not racist, not xenophobic (let’s face it, you’re not scared of them), or any other such thing.

Really, you’re just having fun. Nobody’s getting hurt. So who cares? Carry on!

@Root phobia doesn't necessarily mean fear; it can mean dislike or hatred as well

@Nanos I’ve met a lot of people who are racist against their own race. Almost to a one they were all white liberals.
