Hello ranters!
Do you listen to any particular song/music genre when coding?
Normally I listen to IDM and other electronic stuff as well as jazz, lately I've been listening to this...

Not a particular song/genre, but as I like "almost" all subgenres of Heavy Metal... So there's what I listen (the most) while coding (and everything else).

And, depending the day, mood, weather, and other factors, I also add some djent, darkwave, jazz, progressive rock, shoegaze, "everything mentioned before mixed", and some very specific stuff (like Schiller, or Elsaine).

But recently I've been listening to a German band called Silbermond in almost a daily basis... I fell in love with several of their songs

I mostly just forget to hit play

@byte-me that had happened to me a couple of times...

Curiously enough, the fact that I had the earphones on my ears, helped to "muffle" the sounds of the office, and I didn't notice of the absence of music until several hours later...

    Lo-fi Hip Hop

Good balance of relaxing and stimulating, especially once you find/make your golden playlist

Stoner/Space Rock! Perfect for coding with that feeling of loneliness and drugs 🌝

@MonsieurMan perhaps I'm mixing and/or confusing genres, but have you listened to The Algorithm? It has some electronic/dubstep influences (IMHO) in their music.
