Am I wrong in thinking not everything apple develops is THAT good or better than the competition?

You're right. Apple puts out some sub par products. Some of their stuff is pretty fantastic!

Since the changes in the upper management layer their iOS seems unstable.. Wonder what has changed.

@NoNameCode @NoNameCode you pay a premium for their hardware but most of their software is free.

Second, I'm guessing you're being sarcastic. OS X is light years more stable than Windows (i.e. UNIX as opposed to DOS). Don't even compare iOS to Android.

Third, you must not be familiar with how much Microsoft "borrowed" from in the 80s and 90s. And then when android is released it's practically a clone of iOS. I think they have the right to be paranoid

Apple has its fair share of blunders and faults. But anyone who thinks that a company made for profit cannot make mistakes must not be a tech guy.

You seriously think Android is a clone of iOS? wow fanboy alert.

@mercurysmessage I said the original Android was a clone of iOS. If you've never seen what the Android OS or hardware looked like pre iPhone it was essentially a clone of blackberry.

But then iPhone was announced and they ripped off practically all major design elements from iOS.

I want to clarify what I mean by this post. I didn't mean to start an android/ios war (although as a wp user i find them very entertaining) 😝 I was talking more about there developer tools. My friend (an ios developer) believes all the developer tools apple releases are worlds ahead of the competition from Microsoft and Google. I don't know enough about this development as I'm only a student. Is my friend right in what he says about apple being miles ahead?

@Telescuffle personally, I find Xcode to be buggy and hard to use. But no IDE is without its flaws. You can make any of them work.
