I would just guess that the 1st screenshot is fake..

Both? It looks kinda shady

Left is fake, Right is real.

Reason: The left one is loaded in a browser, and its a modal dialog, causing the browser to be left in a loading state - causing the loading icon to be shown in the status bar. Safari eoes not know if the site has its own loading icon.
The grey shade change also gives away its a webpage.

Right is loaded in a native app (app store or similar), since it already have its own loading icon, it does not need to show a loading icon in status bar.

Moral of the story, never enter your password

If you look very close you can even see the difference at the quotation marks around the e-mail address

@erik404 O.o that's a new one for me. Had a gmail account and an iPod touch for years but hell no I could use that account as apple id!

Lol it’s the second that is fake. But it is a good phishing attempt, almost flawless.

@erik404 @linuxxx same here! Years ago I was using a Gmail address as an Apple ID and never had an issue... Also, I done the same for a MSN Messenger, later Microsoft Live ID, account :P

@linuxxx You definitely can, there's no restriction on what email you can use. At least there wasn't, I haven't touched Apple ID in years.
