    Probably cleaning up after the actual update process. If it's this slow, you may wanna defrag or run a chkdsk scan on it

    @RiderExMachina they could at least make it say 99%... And thanks, I'll try that

    No prob! My job is dealing with slow computers and trying to make them faster.

    As far as Windows and its percentage counter, only Microsoft knows...

    @RiderExMachina your job is to make slower computers faster.. does that make you a gym trainer for computers???

    Come on.. give me another five of those junkwares removed..

    @abhishekjavali
    In a sense, I guess. Obviously there's the malware that slows computers down, but sometimes it's just faulty hardware and knowing tricks to temporarily speed it up.

    Similar to my rant a while back @RiderExMachina and my laptop has a fast SSD so don't give us that defrag crap the update or post update is just not done yet and MS fails at basic calculus.

    Edit
    Just noticed I never posted it hanging on 100% but alas it did..

    Do you guys also get this bullsh*t or am I the only one?

    @World 4gb of ram and almost all of it is in use... I guess this is ur paging kicking in... But feel free to keep complaining.

    @MrCSharp My RAM is not the issue. Its usages increases and decreases but the fucking disk usages don't budge.

    @World do you know which process is using it? there is a possibility that your HDD is about to fail, have you checked the S.M.A.R.T status?
  • 0
    @MrCSharp I did get to my S.M.A.R.T. status but I don't know what I'm looking for here.

    Edit: It says Good and all the attributes say Good too

    @World I see, so there must something that is using (and abusing) your HDD, try to sort the process list in task manager by Disk Usage.

    @MrCSharp Its usually a system process or a service host
