Another big problem for the majority of abandoned Android phones - and a ton of IoT devices. As if we needed more reasons not to buy smart toasters.

nice, from what I read it sounds like you can send a disassociation packet and overwrite the wpa2 passkey on reassociation. since it would be possible to do it on client and router ends it would be hell if somebody combined it with evil twin.

Still, it can't find the password of the router. That's a good thing. The vulnerability is easily patchable.

Time for wpa3

@TheCapeGreek When is the last time you updated your wifi router firmware? How often do you think a restaurant, office or school updates their router firmware?

The problem is that there are many devices which do not automatically update.

Oh and yes, I read the part about patches but the IT guys didn't care about patches for the active directory server for at least one year so I don't think they will care about this ^^
