I just realised that it's faster for me to create a CV in HTML then in Word

Yay, I do my CV in HTML as well! :)

Easier to style pretty with CSS than with Word, easier to track changes, simple good ol' git push instead of manually keeping a backup.

    Big "hell yeah!" from me!

My resume's online and print friendly. I always have it ready to print as long as I have an internet connection; had that revelation last year when I realized I hate writing resumes

    You could also try XML.
Then maybe use some xslt to convert it to HTML ☺
    Keep data and layout separated.

I usually use madoko.net which allows for mixing html (limited), markdown and latex. It's so much more readable than pure latex while keeping all its capabilities.
