I now have to walk or bike everywhere on a pretty hefty sized campus. Waiting untill Christmas (college student budget 🤷) to get a smartwatch or fitness tracker so I can see just how much I walk.
The first few weeks on campus, I would have to walk like 1/4 to 1/5 a mile just to get food. By the time I got there, I was no longer hungry. So I definitely lost weight then, due to lack of food intake. But I'm back to my 2 meals a day (never had time before for breakfast, and still don't). I'm interested to see just how much I do walk though. -
gitlog57637y@jhh2450 maybe you'd like fit -- Google's app on play store.
Keep a secret from Google haters ;) -
@VTCoder I got a Fitbit as a Christmas present. 😀
On a busy day I average 9-10k steps. On a not so busy day, I average about 5k. Now that the weather is nice, I don't mind walking places that are a bit far away.

Health.
This is a big thing I think. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm overweight and this job keeps me at a desk for long periods of time.
I ended up with health issues from a combination of a bad diet, a staph infection years ago, and not being active. So I've made a commitment to start walking - at least a mile a day.
I'm using Pacer + Apple Health on iOS to track my progress. So far, combined with a $50 bluetooth scale I picked up on Amazon, I'm losing weight. I also noticed that when I switched my mile walk to my lunch break, I'm coming back to my work way more refreshed.
I hope to keep this up and I've found the gamification of having apps track my progress is a definite plus.
Anyone else have any healthy habits of "health hacks" they've found?
