@dfox what do you think about adding it to the store? In some months my boss will have 3 or 4 printers, and he agree to print it.

For those who can't have a 3d printer!
I am from europe, it would be a gadget without expensive shipping cost for european people

No offense but it look ugly, maybe if you could choose a better color it will look good
  • 2
@harrizsb a better color is a simple problem, also i should place better the ":/", crucial thing is that i have a big extruder (0.8mm) it is fast, but on little prints you see his imprecision.

I use my boss printer, i can ask him for a smaller extruder(0.1mm, or less).

I like the red one! A friend of mine suggested blue! Which one do you think will look good?

Ahhh @mngr Can I see the 3D printer? made by you or bought? And what cost?

@dfox... do you want a few hundred printed and extruded logos to sell? hehehe That's an idea...

Here it comes! (the left one) It is actually a monster 3d printer, that is not cheap at all, but lot of it cost is for the control part..
It has been made by me and my coworker, I manage the software and him manage everything else

you can find chep ones for 200 bucks!

@mngr Not bad, Not bad... How is the head supported? strings? I don't see rails...
  • 1
@GyroGearloose I'm asking because my first 3D printer will probably be a CNC I make and change the head to make it hybrid... But the design you have may be cheaper or better.

    **Hardest photo of my life**

@GyroGearloose My coworker loves delta printer so I have no choice.

delta is actually good, because the weigth of the head is distributed between 3 motors, load is balanced, and you don't have to move the bed.
it can run very fast if you want to.

dealing with cnc... The head may get too heavy for a delta

    I see...

I'll check back deltas when I have my first hybrid.

For a 3D machine solution, If i can make it for cheap I can get good deals, both selling the machines and making pieces

@mngr I love the hybrid idea and must be my first direction because I know it's easy to make a piece in aluminum and then 3D print on it, all In one go...

I get it now... you also have rails in the delta, and it's not string based but rod based, I bet that's the most precise way :D
  • 1
@GyroGearloose For hybrid... Give a look at Z morph, you may find something to copy!
milling and printing... Eh, can be tough, I print ABS, and I keep the bed at 90-100 dregrees (celsius) to make the plastic stick to it.

Yes we have rails, with ball recirculating guides

@mngr I'll take a look, now went shopping lol.
To stick the plastic to metal you can: make screws and stick plastic to it, making a perfect screw. Or holes with negative side in the middle so the polimer (real name for plastics) gets a permanent plug. More then that... Well I never used a 3D printer. I can tell you how a meter deep screw is done but o know little as for polimers
