@tosensei it was a premixed pancake starter [a gift from someone]. And it past its exp date for 2 years or so. And it didn't mix well. So most of the pancake matter remained at the bottom of the bottle

@netikras "it was a premixed pancake starter"...
there's only one thing to do with that stuff.
throw it at whoever gifted it to you. with as much power as you can muster.
that stuff is garbage by design, and people who use it are garbage by choice. -
@tosensei I'd never tried it before, so I didn't know how bad/good it is (it's not that bad, rly)
Also, that's the reason why it was past its exp date. -
We have a saying about food at our house:
"Don't throw it away. Give it to Dad."
I am the official food tester at our house. My stomach can handle anything. -
scor33101yCrêpes would be one of the easiest recipes of the world but people who are too lazy to read a paragraph buy the ready mix.
IN A MICROWAVE.
Bonus points for making the m taco Crêpes or deep frying them. Ffs
RIP in peace. -
@scor oh well... it was not a joke.
We were on a trip that weekend and took that bought crepe bottle to finally use it up.
It didn't mix well. The bnb's frying pan was a crap (not a flat bottom). I had to improvise.
Today I made a proper homemade crepe for the fam. -
hjk10156961yI never understood the pre mix bottles where you have to add water to the line and shake to make the mix. I can understand the powder with everything ready (already lazy yet I understand not needing eggs and milk can be handy) but adding a bottle and a lot of empty space is just too much for me.
The person that invented that should be molten together with the bottle maker.

I've never made crepe pancakes in a microwave before....
But when your pancake matter is too liquid and you don't have any flour to fix it nor a flat pancake and your kiddo is hangry - you've gotta engineer your way out.
