WASD Code - my first mechanical keyboard and I love it
-
KeePassXC
The keyfile is on my thumb stick which is on my keyring.
I use it for almost all accounts with generated passwords and password change reminders. -
@incognito No Problem - I have first used hackmd for writing the protocol of our student representative meetings. We all work on the same document which is great to document any detail.
But one downside to hackmd is the annoying "jumping" when multiple users edit different sections (but I think it can be turned off) -
On the first look Dillinger looks like hackmd which I personally use
Hackmd can be hosted on your server and saves the files on the server as well
Usability of hackmd is nice -
Tbh I would have given them a txt file...
-
How about using a password manager and use password generators?
-
I am also running Manjaro with i3wm on my Thinkpad (E560)
-
Selfhosted gitea for private stuff, universities gitlab for uni stuff, GitHub for (non existent) public projects
-
Funfact, in my Universitys network we need to add www infront of all adresses to access them, all other traffic is blocked
Also most ports are blocked by using a Whitelist for the "common" ports
It's a useless struggle from the students against the system administrators who are lazy as fuck
The universities CTO said that we might have to wait for the biological solution to solve this shit -
If anyone is interested https://github.com/CptPie/...
Also I didn't use es6 haha -
@Cyanite Funfact, I have never played Touhou or OSU!. I found a nightcore version of Bad Apple!! and quite liked it so I researched a bit and found a playlist on Spotify which I listen to while programming :D
-
Favorite programming language: Haskell (followed by Java - I don't know any others ;D)
Spoken language: Native German, English
Band: I don't really have a favorite band, because i mostly listen to nightcore or game music (Touhou)
Song: Owen was her? - Touhou 6
I prefer sitting
I love to learn new things, gaming (mostly Singleplayer games like transport fever or factorio)
Projects: A friend and me started to write a irc bot in haskell, my last project was a telegram bot written in node - I recently got a vps (OS Arch, because why not :D ) on which I run some services - I am planning building a personal website
Well that should be everything :D -
If you don't want to bother installing Arch I would say try Manjaro, it's basically Arch already setup ready to go - I am using Manjaro with i3wm and loving it
-
I feel with you mate, restrictions in assignments suck hard :C, it's even worse if the restrictions are unclear, not that this happened to me yesterday...
-
Well on the bright side - I resolved my first major merge request \o/
-
@Charon92 I and everyone I know comments in english even though we are german, but we have a steady fight against our programming chair in university which provides code with german comments which are not UTF 8 encoded (ä ö ü etc)
-
@drdanz Hahaha didn't expect that, nice one
-
@needToRoll nah it's fine, testing in a live system is the only way to go! :D
-
@nickj
-
Manjaro with i3wm <3
-
? I am using Vivaldi (basically a chromium) on my system (Manjaro) without any problems
-
You might want to take a look at LaTeX (and the documentclass beamer for presentations), it's a steep learning curve but if you are half good at it you will get decent results
-
Sublime and vim as texteditors, sharelatex for University stuff, intellij clion and phpstorm as ide's
-
I resetted the token - thank you guys - lessons learned :D
-
@nicholai ohh fuck, ty - gonna change it ASAP
-
I feel with you mate, I wasted 2 hours while looking for the mistake when I just misspelled length ...
