@katbreitin yea, I totally agree. Usually something small like this wouldn't set me off. This whole project has just been a nightmare and this was just a funny example of my frustrations boiling over.
-
@Lensflare no need to feel sorry, I'm just venting. Most days I like my job.
And yes, yes I did. -
I didn't intend it that way but I suppose I kinda am. I'm having a shit day and the conversation made me chuckle even though I said it so I posted it thinking others would chuckle too. 🤷🏻

Fact
-
This whole project has been a shit show. Normally a simple request like this wouldn't enrage me so much but this is just straw that breaks the Camels back, so to speak. We're already way over budget. I've made so many stupid, repetitive, or needless changes already that this just makes me so damn mad.

@irene I think the original is inaccurate in terms of being factual. It's just a joke try to convey the importance of TDD, at least to the speaker
-
@irene I guess that depends on your definition of inferior, I wouldn't trust a structural engineer to actually build a house
-
@irene I wouldn't say inferior, just different. Like the difference between a contractor and structural engineer
-
@irene it was just someone trying to illustrate the importance of TDD
-
@Fast-Nop haha, I can barely talk to another Dev in person and you expect me to flirt? 🤣
-
It was actually kind of a joke. I have no problem "socializing" via an app but when it comes to doing it in person I'm awkward and seem to fail at it pretty hard. I kinda think my time in front of a computer and interacting with coworkers mostly thru apps is making me worse at it.
-
Man, it bums me out to see so many people quit because of toxic local communities... But you're all right, the community can kill it for you. I've been fortunate to have a *mostly* solid local community.

I still love that thongs === flip-flops
-
Partially to hide the pain
-
I laughed so loud at this
-
Met thePracticalDev at RailsConf, super awesome dude. Runs dev.to, also awesome
-
Crush it!
-
This is amazing

No one has claimed the free beer yet!
-
@ineptCoder I see what you did there ;)
-
Thanks guys. I'm going to try to keep a positive attitude and just do the best I can
-
*immediately starts humming Eric Clapton*
-
I did this a lot when I first started, luckily I'm wiser now
-
I spent my lunch break making a custom dark theme for BC3 for this exact reason
-
I've heard of Paw but never used it. Postman has always worked pretty well for my needs and it was fairly easy to pick up (and free). What do you like about Paw?
-
Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I ended up going with the Red Dragon that @machoog546 suggested. So far so good, loud as hell though.
-
Lol I did that a bunch when I was learning Vue too
-
Guess I should have added I work on a Mac. Some good options on here but I don't know what they mean when they say "Limited Mac support"
-
Love Vue. Was using React and then got a project in Vue. I felt like it was so much nicer to write in, I don't want to go back.

@mpatino117 where/how? Is that even legal in the US? (Sometimes I forget that this is an international community)
