@eval Eventually I started suspecting something like that yeah.. after some more digging, I found for example "intel.ingress.com" to be up and running as if nothing happened. If NIA (Nigerian Intelligence Agency apparently) really took down ingress.com, why wouldn't they've taken down their subdomains too?

On a different topic, last time I interacted with Niantic games was in the summer of 2016 (I think?) with that Pokémon Go game.. unfortunately I got banned due to suspected GPS spoofing (which may or may not have been a legit ban), but from then on I never really looked back. What's this Ingress game all about?

@Condor well its so much to explain :D
But basically its a very strategical game where you fight against another team over "ownership" of certain landmarks/art pieces etc. Then you can create links between them if no link is in the way. Which obviously becomes very difficult for long or even intercontinental connections, where you need to work in s team to destroy stuff blocking it. Also sometimes there are missiond where the groups have to Transport items halfway around the globe...

I still play Ingress, but not so frequently as before. Nice game, but the community can really mess things up.

Man, it bums me out to see so many people quit because of toxic local communities... But you're all right, the community can kill it for you. I've been fortunate to have a *mostly* solid local community.

In fact, it's the predecessor of Pokemon GO.
With a user base that's largened over ~5yrs to like a tenth or so of P.GO.
Worldwide though. And on a never seen before scale.

@karma kinda unsure about it. I like some aspects, but i think usability has suffered and the item renderings are just shit. But i find the new scanning Animation just fucking awesome
