I've never understood the corporate word "bi-weekly"
Like is it, two times a week?
Or is it one time every two weeks?
Which is it ffs?2 -
It's been a while since I've said it
Fuck AI, Fuck Sam altman, Fuck Open AI, Fuck Microsoft
Fuck any other chatbot company that exists in today's world
Im so drunk right now no cap fr fr
And fuck you too kanyewest formerly Alexanderr. Yeah you'd think we'd forget didn't you?11 -
Remember that I said that many of y'all here can be YouTubers?
I posted a roadmap video for you to become one
https://youtube.com/watch/...
Watch it, implement it and watch the $$$ roll in.10 -
Google Assistant got replaced by Gemini on my phone. What used to work before, me saying "Hey Google, set an alarm for 5 pm" doesn't work anymore.
"I am only a language model so I can't help you with that" is the default response.
Does big tech not like the idea of things working fine and smooth?37 -
I got pushed into coding in React by my client. They're paying me extremely nicely so I couldn't turn the offer away.
Next up is going to be FastAPI which I assume it's Python???? I haven't looked into it yet.
Guess I'm going from Laravel/NodeJS/MySQL stack to Python/React/PostgreSQL stack now.
I'll make sure to document my learning journey here.7 -
The second Deepseek released as open-source, America started to try to pass a law that makes it's usage illegal and punishable upto a million dollars and 20 years in jail.
so yeah.... OpenAI more like "IAmTheOnlyAI"4 -
Say what you want about spaghetti code written by either you yourself or other people, dealing with it is a massive requirement for becoming a dev.2
-
I do think sometimes, that many of the members here are missing out on millions of dollars and fame, just because they don't choose to be a YouTuber in the dev space.
Given the skill that you guys got, I can say with 100% confidence that y'all will make it. Some of you that I can think of are:
lorentz
Ranchonyx
Lensflare
atheist
kiki
I mean it, y'all are missing out on life-changing money.11 -
I once saw an accountant (might be > 60 years old), open up his Windows laptop. And on the home screen he right clicked and hit "Refresh" like 30 times, manually.
I don't know why but I think about that every once in a while.11 -
I am against the idea of outsourcing dev jobs.
Every software company should hire in-house devs, that live in the same country/region the company is in.11 -
You would think that some YouTuber with more than 450K subs would speak sense. But no, they instead confessed that content creation is all about clickbaiting the shit out of students.
Also, 3 lakh rupees INR is like roughly $3500 USD3 -
I've gotten rent-free places in so many member's heads of this platform.
They want me to leave or feel bad about myself. But I just can't. How can I give in after so many months of work.
I just love it.
I'm staying here forever my dudes.2 -
Ahh yes devRant, where most of my enemies live. Featuring the list:
fullstackcircus
shovethisrant
Nanos (should I say ex-Nanos?)
kanyewest
JestDotty
awesomeest
netikras (apparently?)
jAsE
And the last is retoor? which is funny cuz I don't even know who she is.
Thanks for the hate guys, it keeps me going.24 -

I'm happy today realizing that 5 people decided to pay me for just saying my opinions on YouTube livestreams.
I never could've imagined I'd be in a position where I'd be getting loyal fans for me just to talk to them and hear them out / answer their questions.
Makes my cold heart warm up a bit ngl.13 -
We're living in a time where retoor and Buffon are fighting each other with bots.
Truly one of the moments of all time.16 -
I know self-promotion is not allowed here but I made a fun video I'm sure most of you would enjoy
Watch it here -> https://youtube.com/watch/...7 -
I genuinely don't understand the M.O. here.
Getting rid of ads/spam here => Better Experience for us.
Flooding bots to gain updoots and spam posts => ????
Like, there's no money to be made. There's no influence of this platform anywhere. Getting a million ++'s don't result in anything in the real life.
I guess Alfred was right. "Some people just want to watch the world burn."60 -
The spam filter bot lost it's downvote privileges, already.
Well, it was fun while it lasted. Sigh.21 -
It's nice to see people waking up and realizing the fallacies of AI.
Given that I've been against AI since day 1, it's giving me a little superiority complex ngl.11 -
If Indian scammers only had a tiny bit of patience with customers (victims), and practiced English accents, they'd become millionaires so easily.37
-
@retoor please tell your AI bot, that we don't need it to make 20 comments on every post.
What the bot is doing is pretty great and cool, just let it be for that one task. It's role as a spam remover is fine, but giving it a 'human' like persona, where it starts acting like a real person chatting with ranters is downright creepy.
I'm not even joking.21 -
When I search for problems with npm libraries and StackOverflow's answer is
"just downgrade the package to {VERSION} and it should work"
It makes me wanna die. How in the clusterfuck is that an acceptable solution?5 -
I can't believe we've gotten to a stage of capitalism that saying "Employees need work-life balance" is controversial.2
