@1989
Correct me if I'm wrong but do you mean to say to widen my knowledge on enterprise level apps that are similar or connected to the current one I'm working on?
If so then I thought about it but I fear it might erode me on the long run.
Considering I come mainly from an ABAP background I start to question if enterprise is really my cup of tea. -
Damn that hits hard, feels like you described the shit hole I'm in.
Is there no possibility to enforce or at the very least encourage a working standard at your workplace? -
200+ lines method = disgusting
Literal string = eye cancer
5+ returns = acceptable when functioning as guard clauses or as an early bailout in method that don't need to continue (only when it's readable) -

Well said, I just wish these numbskulls would get it -
If your partner is most honest about learning Haskell and isn't just riding you for the grade I see no reason as to why you shouldn't help.
That is if teaching the language isn't going to hinder the project itself in any considerable way.
You can also let him read "learn you a Haskell" (if I'm not mistaken that is the name) which is freely available on the net, that book helped me a bit when curiosity took over me. -
First of all, welcome to the community.
From my personal experience the best way (subjectively speaking) to learn a new language is to first of all try and "map" known concepts to the new environment.
Mostly in order to really know a language I think you need to feel comfortable with the language itself and then use it to write just about anything you can.
If javascript30 will help you in achieving that then go for it, it's not like anything will be lost, right? -
Considering we are (the core team) in the same age range and share hobbies, yes

"21 years old SAP ABAP developer"
I like you, it's rare to see another young ABAPer -
My condolences

It pains me to hear about such an abuse from you parents. As other said before me I believe a legal measure must be taken. To go so far after you, your girlfriend and your son is sickening. I might be judgmental but from what you wrote they are horrible (as an understatement) and the only possible way to cut them out of your life would be going beyond hiding. (As that seems to not be enough)
Is there no one that can help you against them?
I hope it'll be alright for you and your family (not the parents in that case. If you would even still consider them as such), stay strong. -

Sounds great

Bahh, I hate these kind of people, Toxic beyond comprehension.
I presume you don't work along him any longer? -
I feel you, and I implore you, try to avoid going to the level you just stop caring about anything or anyone. You'll just be cranky and angry all the time. You might even blow off some of that anger on those you care about, I don't recommend the feeling you get after it. You can drop some of the frustration in here, try to forget about your problems for a bit, just disconnect any now and then.

As someone who happens to be at the same situation, you get a ++ sir. If I could only give you more
