I think one of the main disadvantages of working at Uber is that you should explain you’re an engineer not a driver every time someone ask you about your job2
-
So tired of explaining other stupid developers that POST is not more secure than GET in a ReST api. I have heard many times if you use GET you will be hacked :|

I was testing database migration and there was some issues which I couldn't fix them. So I drop the table just to test if the issues are still there.
"Why nothing have been changed?" After some minutes I realize it was production database which I had dropped 😓1 -
There was a workshop about git in our university and I was the teacher.
After teaching main concept of version control and git commands I was talking about open source community and github repository. First I should notice /pul/ in my language means money.
When I was talking about pulling changes from repository one of the student raised his hand and ask me "Why they would give us money?"
After seconds of silence I had feeling between laughing and crying1 -
Just because the language/feamework/technology is trendy doesn't mean it is suitable for you. There is no silver bullet in software engineering.
I think it was a big mistake to use microservice architecture for our project. -
The first thing that matters to me for applying for a job is how their project that I am going to work on will improve me. I have refused a job position with a higher salary just because they want me as their only developers for their website and other things. Instead, I applied for another job with lower salary but now I am a backend developer of a team of 15 developers making a great product and I have learned many experiences.

These are a part of my current project's stack. Can you name some of them?
(Some are just libraries)10 -
Please don't post old jokes. We all have seen them millions of times in other social medias.
Be creative2 -
A software is just a list of bits or we can say binary digits. Next time you developed an application just think you've just found a big "Magic number"! 🤗10

I am the only Backend developer in my team, so I have to do sysAdmin tasks, deployment and configurations myself....
I HATE it! -
Never trust a hot chick that tell you "Wow you are a programmer? Tell me about it"
ATTENTION: DON'T TELL HER ABOUT IT8 -
Sentry is a great and also free error tracker. I have hosted it by Docker for our product painlessly.
I love it.

Can you believe the website of my university only works on IE?
I have installed Windows XP on vm ware just to check the website on my MacBook.4
