So I built this site for a non profit with a cms that is painfully easy to use. I gave them training a few months ago. Now the
Mai. Person wants to come ‘ sit with me’ so I can show her how to make updates. Again. Gratis. I had to say that I can’t be expected to do this every time they forget how to do things. Painfully basic cms. Login. Pick a page. Fill out a form. Submit. Done. Sheesh

Don’t you just love it when you’re hosting company decides to do a big change on their email sending policies that breaks a bunch of your apps you have written the depending on sending out emails to users for verifications etc.? And of course they did this with no prior notice. Not the way I wanted to spend my weekend updating certain parts of the domain records to allow this to happen.

I work in an agile environment and I act as scrum master. There is one team member I have been trying to get on the rails for two years now. Today she went off at standup and one other team member commented it was like listening to a diary entry. It’s true. I’ve been to agile open hours with this problem so many times- glad we are only in the office two days so I can mute myself and react. Anyone else have team members taking standup meetings hostage? I just want to scream !!!

It appears my website is under attack. This truly sucks! I can’t login to it to update. Someone is attacking it and now I feel like an idiot and am very upset.

So very recently I launched a website for a nonprofit organization that I’m a part of. But there’s a black hole somewhere. Users register in order to see parts that are private for our organization’s eyes only. I made the field required - email field that is. Yet the registration is slipping through that are blank because they have no email and therefore we can’t finish the process of registration. I cannot for the life of me find the black hole. Any ideas? This isn’t my first rodeo I’ve been doing the stuff for 28 years and I am beside myself.

I don’t know if this is a rant or not. I just wake up with a crazy idea that I have to wake up and try to write code to make it happen. I guess we all do that or else we wouldn’t be on this platform now would we? Anyway, I’m trying to write a word jumble. I am an old school person that still gets a physical newspaper and I love working the word jumbles! Sometimes I’m like Rain Man. I could just look at every word and get them right away, and I wanted to write my own program and slap it on my website - but I am stuck right now! I’m stuck at a point where I can get all the letters from my answer, but how do I get that down to 3 to 4 words to scramble? I tend to go to sleep, thinking about these things trying to figure them out and will usually wake up in the middle of the night get to my computer and finish it, but this one has me spinning! Who else has driven crazy bystuff like this and does anybody know how I might achieve this? It’s in PHP & MySQL. Glad I accidentally found this place!
