Switching job is risky right now. Save enough money (for next 3-6 months) as buffer to avoid any uncertain circumtances.

@TheCommoner282 big! 🤷♂️
-
my state right now 🥴
-
@JS-Guy Same here. I don't just blindly put the solution and expect it to work. 😅 I take my time to validate the domain knowledge I've acquired. Sooner or later you will have to accept that you will be using AI in your day-to-day life, even if you don't want to. 😅 The way these people are throwing random stuff at me is beyond my thinking. And, telling me I'm not a good programmer or dev, like proving themselves they are the good programmers who exist in this world. 🤷♂️ I don't wanna be a good programmer if it makes me this much arrogant. 🤗 I'm happy being a normal, average person who loves learning.
-
@tosensei You're right! 😥 You can check my previous rants for not being a good programmer or dev. 😩
-
@Sid2006 I won't. 🥱
-
@magicMirror Exactly! When I told this to my interviewers, they asked how you are so sure that no implementation will come in the future. I answered that then I will introduce an interface for that. They asked why not now then. Then, I went silent. 😵
-
@IntrusionCM Thank you so much. It was helpful! 😇
-
@retoor I don't have one. I find it very difficult to start a conversation with a woman. 😅
-
@nururururu Okay, I will give it a shot.
-
@fjmurau Yeah, I do.
-
@IntrusionCM All the jargons mentioned went above my head successfully. Thank you. ☺️
-
And, here I'm doing integretion tests first to make sure the APIs don't break for the frontend, after refactoring. 😅
-
same here. :(
-
You guys have girlfriend? 😦

@electrineer I'm not confident yet. I need more experience that's why I'm looking for a project or a group of people where I can learn not worrying about things which I'm not responsible for.
Just to give you an example, they assigned me to do some r&d to check what type of features can be given to clients instead of asking client and business analysts, where I'm just a junior dev. The juniors are afraid of questioning them, even if they do - each senior's answer is different - as they didn't have the discussion beforehand. Sometimes, I think I am the only one worried about the project will be failed in future. 😅 -
@Demolishun 😅
-
Never hesitate to ask a question. The more you delay, the more you pay. 😅 As a senior, they got responsibility to clear out your doubts. But, before asking - write them down & do some googling. Writing the questions down will help you to simplify them, as well as help you to find out the answer yourself sometimes.
And, when you got free time, go through their codes, try to think why they choose to code this way and that. Will help you to understand - how they solve a certain problem, the convention they're following. Thus, will help your communication with them. -
Same here 😅
-
😆😅

Honestly, no code review happens in our company, the seniors don't have much time for that. 😅 Even we don't follow TDD approach. Sadly, we merge our own created feature branch to 'dev' branch.
-
same here 🤣
-
I think you should go with reactive programming instead of socket which is kinda expensive. Use socket where it's really necessary.
-
@SortOfTested 🤩 Thank you so much. I will keep those in mind. 😊
-
Congratulations! 😁
-
Sorry, I didn't think I will get these much replies. 😅
- It's monolithic app. But, my goal is to migrate it to micro-service later as part of my learning...
- It will be a up & running real world project - can be called startup.
- My goal is to learn & implement things.
- So, I've planned to use AWS, deployed on EC2 already to learn AWS. Using Postgres of Heroku. 😅
My question, If I continue like this - as an indie developer, single person - will that be cost-effective, time-worthy in the long run..
or, Digital Ocean will give me less headache or so..
as well as improving my skills.
Sorry, If I failed to explain. I'm not that good at talking. 😅 -
@heyheni Thank you so much. 😊
-
@heyheni Hi, what's it called?
-
Sorry, I was late to edit it. But, you are welcome to make fun of it. 😊

@electric-ghost I am afraid of it. Are there any good article to read in details and about the process thst needs to be done step by step? I mean tutorials... :(
