Gtfo my man! You should be happy during your work this sound like torture
-
@Fast-Nop Because at this point I'm the only one who worked on that project, and this company will put you on small projects when you are leaving, it's a pattern I have seen multiple times with people leaving.
-
@burntoutnoodle my notice was 1 month, all the paperwork at both companies where finished this week.
-
@neeno thanks dude!
-
@Berkmann18 he has senior in his title.... but with this amount of complaining and not reading, I would have given him a junior position
-
I also felt not motivated to work, I'm now talking to 2 other companies, hope to jump ship in a few weeks.
I would suggest you ask your self what you like to do and then just apply at companies. -
@rutee07 only if that is allowed from management for a specific situation
-
@C0D4 I have had multiple production releases go bad and have spent time debugging production issues at night. But I agree it's more than trusting your infra.
-
@Python are those code freezes working at your company! Nice!
At my company PMs and other devs have been saying those words only thing is that there hasn't been a accual code freeze for years! -
@C0D4 to be honest if you have a good infrastructure you could deploy at every hour of the day also on Friday and during the weekend.
Saying don't deploy on Friday actually implies that you don't trust the infrastructure.🤷♂️ -
And this is why my phone is off during the night! No PM is calling me at 2am! Haha
-
@heyheni no we (a digital agency) are doing the frontend and the api jungle is from the client and they have only backend devs
-
@BobbyTables Well I thought that it would take me like half an hour, but I spend 1 hour on it and got it down to 288....
-
@Devnergy these developers are "seniors", but your are correct
-
@Jilano @r20408e122449d I use obsidian and sync my markdown files with git. Works pretty well for me!
-
@webapp oh yes
-
@F1973 to be honest he was one of those, he just approved pull requests without even looking at the code
-
@F1973 I get what your are saying but he was performing below company standards
-
@mentions you have permissions issues on your files? I have never had that kind of issue, does running as administrator do anything, you probably have tried this.
Uhm is it you work ps? Maybe they have some sort of group policy that is conflicting? -
well it's kinda easy to setup ssh keys on PowerShell
ssh-keygen -t rsa -b 4094
create a config in ~/.ssh/ with the following content:
Host github.com
User git
Hostname github.com
PreferredAuthentications publickey
IdentityFile ~/.ssh/id_rsa # or the name of your key
Also in your PowerShell profile add
Start-SshAgent
Let me know if this works -
@devJs oh that's normal, those people don't see past the things they know
-
I feel for you dude, I have the same!
-
Some people omg hahhaha
-
@jiraTicket dont think so, I'm not expecting that these devs where smart enough to have an editor with that enabled, they were probably using sublime or something
-
Get a bigger ssd my dude!😂
-
Depends on the company where you work, every company has a different version of a junior, medior and senior
-
@ultimaterage thank you!! I hope so too!
-
@just8littleBit haha yeah, could be. But it's just a rant towards the colleagues of the product owner. They are old and have no sense of proper email writing and they are over 20 years in the industry. They should know how to formulate a simple email right
-
@just8littleBit I don't mean you, they (the colleagues) just can't seems to be reasoned with
-
@ReverendtLovejoy thats a good point!
