learned about eel recently. did not dive deep into it beside hello world, but it did look interesting. webdev+python backend for local applications.

@AlmondSauce one could say some people say javascript should not be used for everything while php is intended for backend, but whatever *ducks and hides
don't know about the huge community @react-guy said though. maybe this is a good advice. i am an old fashioned amateur tbh. -
🏅
-
why not
* typo
* cleared up description in comment
* beautified
* changes to code structure to improve readability
or the like? -
@neeno we've already replied with 'yeah, you're right'. if he had replied with an actual explanation i would have daydreamed of a programming workshop. but i guess i am just too unstable to handle these kind of people of any age.
-
@ostream yes, i'll consider that. it will teach him about bullying or something 😂
-
@nebula i wondered what the parents compensate for by providing a full rgb-setup with i9 in the first place 😂
-
@hitko i totally see that this was immature, but just wanted to be a wiseass on this child that is constanty bragging according to my daughter. unfortunately she is totally not interested in programming.
-
don't know if this is a thing, but a friend of mine once sent a small interactive website as his application. i think it's creative and an instant code example.
don't know desparate they were but he got the job. and inherited the company later. -
@metamourge still happy. does support ultrawide monitors flawless. plus you can save on heating bill 🤡
-
dinosaur, because php and python *badumtss*
-
*please don't let that be me*
-
@broseph yeah, quite. i was indeed lucky for that. craftsmen mastership though, so kind of planned.
-
i feel that. exams were on friday, moved completely over the weekend, started on monday.
-
@rEaL-jAsE i guess some text to speech. was my first compact finding. sorry for the disturbance.
-
if you talk about the somewhat touch-enhanced version i have the feeling of missing features at first glance but didn't give it a chance for everyday use yet though.
https://youtu.be/1pzeZjeLwVw i am talking about -
@Oktokolo at least one accomplishment today 🎉
-
let compatibleVersion = nodeVer.substring(1,2);
if (compatibleVersion < 4) nag();
i once had a dos-game state there wasn't enough free space because 1gb was considered way less than 20mb. -
@practiseSafeHex yeah i somewhat got that. and absolutely understand the case of 'it doesn't work, i don't like that' without meaningful suggestion and instead a large amount of 'idgaf about tiny-whiney icons and neccessary system requirements' like internet connection.
-
isn't ctrl+ and ctrl- natively implemented? *badumtss*
-
minus one. i just try to do my best. miserable.
-
to be fair, adding a hint where to check might add user friendlyness. not everybody undestands your nerdy tech-yackety-yak 'No DaTa-CoNnEcTiOn'
no one wants to hear about problems, they just want solutions. even if it's annoying af from their side or at least an unfortunate description, consider it an issue contributing to ux. -
*pauses social media. post about that in social media*
no offense, just thought it was funny. still getting your point. -
i once had the warning to do something about the slow google font api. didn't get the joke.
-
some would see facebook not loading as an absolute win.
-
it might as well be *how* you drink it. small sips and getting a lot of smells make you taste the flavours, regarding big gulps that are indeed just awful. this changed my very same position and now i am all in on 10 year old scottish islay peaty scotch. but of course it could just be not yours though.
