But why would you say all that to some random dude in a pub before finding out if he knew anything?
-
@balte oh god, let me increase my instals from 4-5 to a few hundred
-
@Raspik Lincoln, UK
-
@Raspik im hosting a site for it, so yes!
-
Not for another week it's not :P
-
Best feeling, good luck!
-
Everything is worth putting on github! If it's well commented it's good as a portfolio piece
-
If your running both at the same time you can just copy it to the new server. The same SSL cert can be used on both servers at the same time (providing it covers both X. And y.)
-
@1nfinite or you could use tab, then it makes no difference
-
Should hope that DNS server is not open, and you use a Von to access it
-
And this is why PHP gets a bad rep
-
I've used this as my background for years now, always throws people off
-
@eliboy hell yeah!
-
Pipe the whole thing through lolcat after this
-
This happens all the time at universitys if they run a licensing server and it is unavailable
-
@b3b3 in that case a good reference from your school will help you get your foot in with that company, best keep your head down and make sure you do great in that project and get their attention in a positive light!
Good luck! -
@dannydam all of ours used to be dual booted with Windows 10 and Ubuntu, we also had root access as they just wiped the drives every week
-
Why not upgrade your laptop and run OSX in a VM? I am pretty certain apple even lets you do this if it's only used for development
-
@b3b3 gotta be careful downloading porn at school, I've seen people kicked out for less
-
Probably guna get downvoted, but I'll explain.
If I got handed this is delete the email / throw it out before even reading it, sure its cool but it'd kinda showoff-ey and takes longer than necessary to read.
If this was a website it would be sick, and I'd love it, but as a professional cover letter it it stands out in a bad way
(Just my option from hiring people in the past, I'm sure others don't see a problem with it)
Good luck for the job :)!! -
I often hear people say virgin block websites, I've yet to come across a single website that is blocked with them
-
@jshrt @g-m-f has it right, follow breaking bad to the letter and you will be fine
-
I feel like this is close to home
-
Lucifer, and suits recently
-
Goes well with:
alias fuckit='git add .; git commit -m "$(curl -s whatthecommit.com/index.txt)"; git push' -
@gnaaah I think @addlinny would agree with you there
-
@addlinny I thought this was going to be your rant tbh!
-
@BrianK yup, not doing all that, and even if I could I don't want the risk of it breaking at the most important part of the year
-
@afflict well at least they appreciate your prices from then on
-
Git merge - without conflict errors
