Haha actually it was more of a general idea. Personally i dont like pink too much but i do like to wear dresses, makeup and stuff. Which of course sometimes triggers the question if i am an assistant, designer or a sales person.
I really enjoy though that I can dress up on one day and come in a gamer hoodie the next :))

Strongly disagree actually. While technically it might be the same, it is a big difference in coding style and the next dev that has to read the code has to do type inference in his brain...

My bf always tries to get fancy titles for bis loyalty Cards. Ikea refers to him as emperor (it allowed free text) and another store had "prince" in their dropdown. We are now getting letters addressed to "His royal majesty"

@bananapirate yeah i feel your pain! Our PM got rid of our Testers and even complained about how many test cases there were: "Its ridiculous, you can boil them down from 400 to like 30 important ones."

Yeah only test happy paths, seems totally legit...

I get the feeling people like you and me are a minority. Which probably just means i am in the wrong company.... But its really silly how many people are getting paid more than me and are basically just building quick and dirty Prototypes and sell it as final...

The downsides of this approach:
- frequently experiencing impostor syndrome
- having to prove yourself over and over again
- earning less because you never bring the experience in exactly the field they are hiring
(plus being too insecure to ask for more - again impostor syndrome)

Well most of the time for fixing the bug went into finding out how to reproduce the problem, basically going through different setups and startup configurations..
