@JiggleTits lol. Just kidding 😜
-
@zickig that'd make sense, but I don't think so.
-
@JiggleTits it overlaps my 8675308 div... 😋
-
@ladiesman it is, the real script has other details as the footer content is bigger, but the logic is totally real and it makes no sense.
-
@rEaL-jAsE lol I wish it was fake
-
@Nastrand I'm sorry but this doesn't make any sense. There's no need for JS at all. Or, if you need it done in JS, there are better ways. Always avoid document.write()
-
@thealex dude, I wrote and simplified the script as a sample. The fucked up logic is what's real.
-
@Clear0Ff it works, it works. 😂
-
@CurseMeSlowly thanks! I'll give it a try!
-
The point is I already have an honest mail server (soverin.net) but I don't really like their webmail... I'd like something with a cool UI where I could setup my current email. And I'd like it to be browser based. This tutonota looks good but let's see if anything else comes up. Thank you guys! @linuxxx @thatdude
-
@AlexDeLarge you're absolutely right.

@bittersweet I totally agree. Except for the part "jQuery is not great at..." I'd say "jQuery really sucks at..." instead.
-
Hahaha amazing! I'll try it!
-
I did it!

@OneQ depends on the person. Of course I've done it for free for my mother, gf, father-in-law... I've charged other family members and I guess others don't dare to ask 🤣
-
@Letmecode to make it even more enjoyable it's important to be very polite, willing to help and talk about the costs as an obvious thing (as it should be, in fact) 🤣
-
Yes. But If you don't want to do it I have a two-step trick that works pretty well for me.
First, never provide or install pirated software. If they "just" want windows and office, tell them it's going to be $100 (or whatever it is) for windows and explain them the different subscription choices available for office 365. Ask nicely which one do they prefer. And enjoy the look on their faces.
Second, always charge them for your work hours. Tell them it's going to be $60/hour but that they shouldn't worry. It won't probably take more than 4 or 5 hours...
You'll never be repairing PCs again. And if you do, at least there'll be some profit. -
@ashokramcse I will, thank you!
-
@gitpush Never heard of Vultr before, but looking at their site I think they're both pretty much the same concept. It's great to know even more alternatives to AWS/Heroku.
-
@TerriToniAX yeah, of course, the browser is irrelevant here.
-
Looks like a great moment to start looking for new job opportunities...
-
@T1l3 the trick here is that the value is modified by the client itself, before even sending the form. In this scenario the "attacker" is you.
Moral of the story is, as a webdev, you can't never trust the values sent by the client. Always sanitize your data, always recalculate the totals (or even better: don't calculate totals in client side at all). -
@T1l3 in Chrome DevTools' console:
document.getElementById("hidden_field_id").value = 0 /* Or whatever you want to pay */
Now just click the submit button. -
Sure, we don't byte 😉😅
-
@HoloDreamer yes. Mods usually undo this kind of irrational behavior.
-
Happy birthday! 🎂
-
@bhedia yep, if you love customization a lot then OSX is not for you lol.
-
@dontbeevil I'm an Apple user (only computers, I don't like iphones at all) and I admit it. OSX also freezes from time to time. Windows too (fortunately not as much as 20 years ago). GNU/Linux too.
-
@thedev I've been using OSX as main OS for more than 10 years (before I used Debian). I love it and I think you eventually will to. But it's far from perfect. There's no perfect OS. Anybody saying there's a perfect OS is lying or is a stupid fanboy
