@localhost My setup! The laptop is on private WiFi that is unmonitored. There's a desktop tower behind the monitors that is wired into the unmonitored network as a server running Linux. it's decent but could be better. and I need more stickers1

so I installed spent an hour trying to figure out why snmpd wouldn't start... it turns out to be a carriage return that the editor wasn't displaying but the program was appending to the end of the PHD filename.....

but if that software requires sudo, who not run it as your login account? and instead of ssh access, why not sudo over to the service account?
God I hate when people don't understand how Linux works... -
don't you love that moment when you are trying to set up a test environment but end up spending 3 days trying to get one little service to work?
I can't seem to find any auto dns that works with minimal configuration to use with vagrant or docker...
