Well, pretty urls that returns JSON doesn't make it RESTful.

Uh, you know you don't have to do it from scratch? If his needs are small scale, a WordPress installation with web shop plugins could be enough. Or even some ecommerce service that lets you build a few additional static pages and a news reel.

...or maybe, just maybe, the developer is shit.

@liammartens I tried vs code a couple of months ago. Atom may be prettier and offer a higher degree of customization and tiling, but vs code has none of the freezing and general sluggishness so it kind of just took over from then and there.

It only has to do two platforms to be multi...

Actually, I think it should be considered an interpreted language for the common use cases. The closest thing to compilation is what the interpreter does, which is pretty close, but technically still not the same thing as it is free to implement by the vendor. There is no binary, no standard vm or bytecode, no transformations of the source to anything else before execution. Everything of the sort that happens in respective interpreter is purely because optimization and performance. And it would not even break anything if an implementation allowed live editing of the code as it was executed.

A lot of people call themselves developers before they finished school so why not.

Historically most important? Ada, assembler, Plankalkul, Fortran?

I'd prefer to run Linux in an outer shell and Windows inside for games and such. Gpu makes it difficult though.

I think I found the next loophole for auto manufacturers to calculate mileage.

Set goals. Have lists. Don't get stuck in details. Keep moving! When you get stuck, put it on a "later" list and do the next thing. Stick to paradigms and style for consistency so the code can be reworked later. For the backend; Don't overdo the architecture but make it safe. For the frontend; Do user tests and reevaluate your interface. Be prepared to kill darlings. Now, off you go!

Or terrible code that makes your mind hurt trying to process what it is supposed to do.

Protip; Add a error code so you know which of the identical error messages was triggered. Could be as simple as an integer, but if it goes to clients, a hex or hash will make them more impress. Bonus points for hex-words. "Error #b001d1ed".

@Artemix My guess is those regular spikes relate with course starts.

Personally, I stay sceptical of anyone boasting about their education over others. Sounds like a cover up of insecurities. But that is just me.
