How to test your app on your iPad:
Buy a mac -> Install Xcode -> plug in phone -> run code in Xcode
Essentially the same as testing your app on Android except for the first step. -
Which Gynvael? Gynvael Coldwind?
-
It uses a different browser engine on every platform, it doesn't work on any Windows older than Windows 10, it's missing almost all the features

There's a story that in the early days of google, someone printed out the search page, wrote in a query, and faxed it. This somehow made it to Peter Norvig's desk, who ran the query, printed out the results, circled the thing that says "took 0.2 seconds" and faxed it back.

about scaling, there’s a third party app called SwitchResX that lets you select whatever resolution setting you want
-
You can install the command line developer tools separately from xcode, though it sounds like you need something that isn’t included in that

Slack made a blog post where they said they won't ban anyone anymore, instead they would block IP ranges for the countries

@taigrr :o I wanna see a screenshot of the steam overlay in intellij lmao
-
Does the in-game overlay work in any of them?
-
@FrodoSwaggins I'm mainly thinking of download size here, my internet is 3 mbps so I really care about this
-
@irene it's 44 MB of uncompressed logs, compressed it's more like 1MB. still, why
-
@FrodoSwaggins @tbodt lmao I just checked the atom repository and the latest commit to master is a merge of https://github.com/atom/atom/... which says "This change fixes an issue that caused some of Atom's installation packages (like the .rpm package) to gain around 2x in size (135 MB to 270 MB) between Atom 1.30 and 1.31."
-
@FrodoSwaggins @tbodt wait there's more: a 44.4 MB "test.log" file, 65 MB of files called "parser.c", a 25 MB less-compile-cache directory, a 14 MB .tags file in what-the-diff, and don't forget 11 MB of emoji. all of the above is compressed so it doesn't take up quite that much space, but it's still entirely useless.
-
@FrodoSwaggins I dug around and in the 800 MB uncompressed atom app bundle there's 150 MB for a copy of chrome, 300 MB for a copy of git, and another 300 MB for a compressed version of the exact same copy of git. the remaining 50 MB is shitloads of node_modules. so not entirely chrome's fault.
-
Chrome is 50 MB zipped, so it's not that big just because of electron.

this is how google phone screens work

I think your total ++ is a valid POSIX file mode (14777)

Of course if this was a social engineering attack the hacker would respond with "of course it's safe"
