Description
CreatorLand What will CreatorLand be? CreatorLand will be a platform where people who are interested in 3D Printers and other CNC machines. On this platform you will be able to share your creations, reviews of materials or machines, ask questions or help on CNC machines and find localized information. Why CreatorLand? When I started as Creator I had to get my information from all over the internet and every place where I got some information or creations made by others I saw the limitations of those platforms. This made me think of creating my own platform together with some people from devRant. Features I'm currently thinking of: - Open Source - Public API - Forum - Reviews of machines and material - Find local hackerspaces with things like 3D printers

check out makersync and makerspaces. its a startup project my cousin is working on. I've been looking into getting they're software and starting one in a property I have at the moment.

@M1sf3t do you have a link? I think it would be good to get both input from hobbyist like me as well as makerspaces which have another audience.

makersync.io is their old website, but its been since before him that it was updated. They've got a newer one on some web builder hosting but I don't remember what the address was now. Think he said other than the member switch up tho pretty much everything was still the same as the first site.

@M1sf3t would you be willing to join either the gitter or gitlab repo? I personally think a starting makerspace manager might use the platform differently then an hobbyist. Which features would you like to see?

And do you have 3D printer experience already?

yea I can join. I don't have a printer, but in that regard this might not be the best to invest in one. The place 3600sqft place sitting on 2 acres, that I only owe 57k on maybe? The area is rural south ms so it being in att u-verse range I was thinking digital learning and video labs, maybe a conference room and some general co-office space to begin with. We've also got a couple of very large shops in our possession, or at least they are when we decide to put something in them. At the moment theyre being rented out, his dad having passed and a third brother's business never quite being able to recover from katrina. At some point I figure I'll apply my other experiences and open some more machinery oriented education services there. I'd love to get my hands on a printer for custom bodywork then. Again given the area, every bit of it falls well within the lines of a nonprofit rural development project
