Seriously?! What the actual fuck?! O.o Dafaq were they thinking?! In our building, we have a lift..two buttons..one up, one down.. duh! How hard it is to actually program them properly?! I wanna go down, I press down..then the lift takes the guy from 4th floor who wants to go up to 5th down to second and I enter..then we go up to 5th then down to zero.. WTF?!
Am I missing something?! Am I going crazy?! Or did someone fuckup the comands badly.. WTF!!!!

Looks like someone misunderstood FIFO and FILO concepts there...

Someone fucked really bad, the standard is the lift/elevator go all the way down to the first floor asked to and then go all the way up to the last floor asked to, this reduce energy costs and probably maintenance costs on the long run and is the most consistent way too...

Because this is fucked up if the 'desired floor' is marked the same for incoming amd outgoing wishes.. just makes the elevator pick up everyone and driving them around to someplace they don't want to go.. o.O At least it could pass them and not open the doors until it goes in the desired way..

i seriously hate the lifts everywhere!

one of the lifts in my college randomly skips the 4th floor... like press it or not... it doesn't give a fuck

another one while coming down doesn't stop in between... from the last floor straight to ground... it doesn't stop in between even if you press the floors

the one at my residence building is even worse... if i am at 5th floor and lift is at 3rd floor and i press down button... it fucking goes down to ground... then all the way to the top..
then comes down and stops! it happens every single time and is so frustrating!

I think I didn't make myself clear, let me try to explain better.

Imagine you are on floor 4 and wanna go to floor 10.

The elevator going down won't open the door for you, its gonna keep going down to its final destination ( aka the lesser floor asked to ) then its gonna go up, pick you and any other floor on its way that asked to go up and so on...

@azous yeah, that makes sense, but I didn't press the button for up..and it opened on the way up.. so I went in (cuz I didn't know) and I drove around to upper levels theeen down to where I wanted to go..
I don't mind elevators rushing by if they are going in the wrong direction, what pisses me off is that they stay & open the door.. so it makes you look like a total douche that is pressing the wrong buttons..
