By working for a company where you can experience diverse projects and a company that is open to new concepts and technologies. Not one living in ancient ages, maintaining ancient code base with ancient shit.

@px06 unfortunately not all companies do that. I work in a start-up where me and my senior are the only developers, we work during the day and stay up nights to upgrade ourselves it's depressing and started to affect my health

You are doing something wrong in your life if you don't have a personal time throughout the week.

Hint : working hard is not always the right thing.

I work from 10 AM to 6 PM, i get to work by bus and train one tour takes me ~1,5 hour. I consider this time for learning and social stuff, twitter/devrant/stackoverflow/books. Basically 3 hours a day. when I am at home at 7:30 PM I prepare food for me and my wife and we talk a bit about the day and have some time for us. at around 9PM i do play some games, watch gamedevs on twitch or develop on my own game or my gameengine until 1 AM, with little breaks on between to help my wife with something or give her a a scare when shes not cautios (Like standing super close to the door that she opens with a stupid face) . then i quickly take the dog out for a short walk and its sleeping time for me at.

Weekends are mainly relax time, going out with my wife or if it comes up doing some contract work. Also doing research on games since i am a dev in the gameindustry and this is actually a part of learning :P
