*backstory*
The Triforce represents the three goddesses that created the Zelda world. The goddess of Courage, Wisdom and Strength (power).

The sacred realm is where the Triforce was hidden for thousands of years. Many tried to find it but when they found it they were cursed because of their greed.

Whoever touches the Triforce will be granted their wish. When Gannon and his gang of desert thieves accidentally found the Triforce, they had already entered the sacred realm without greed, so they weren't cursed.

Gannon quickly backstabbed his gang and took the Triforce for himself.

A hero, whos destiny is to defeat Gannon goes by the name link. You are courage.

Zelda is the princess, who represents wisdom.

Gannon is strength and power, he represents strength.

So that's my limited knowledge of Zelda, correct me if I'm wrong though. There's also more to do with Link being transported from Hyrule to Librinnia (spelt right?) or something.
