I was cleaning a closet and found this. It's the bag that had a couple extra pieces for my riding lawn mower.
Questions:
1. Who isn't aware that you can seriously injure or kill any animal (including humans, especially small ones) via running them over with multiple, sharp, quickly rotating blades?

2. Who the hell is allowing morons that don't realise this around minors?

3. For people who aren't already aware of the seemingly obvious dangers, are they even willing and/or able to read this?

I know we live in a world where people sue manufacturers and retailers for plastic bags that they leave by babies and coffee being too hot, but seriously... wtf

    To avoid lawsuits, but I wouldn’t expect someone who can’t figure out sharp blades can hurt to be smart enough to think about suing anyway

    @donkulator that’s what happens when you let your hedgehog out without giving him enough rings

    @donkulator reminds me of something that happened as a teen. My cousin (then mid/late teens, blonde, often mentally as well, cheerleader type but less annoying) called sounding panicked and wanted to talk to my mom (CRNA). She didn't actually say what was wrong just needed my mom, for her medical knowledge, to come over quickly. They lived 1/2mile away so i came too.

    She had been cutting the lawn (~3 acres, the back yard fades to forest) and 'injured' a bunny. When we got there(~15m after incident) she was anxiously pacing next to the lawn mower in the back. She quickly started explaining what happened and begged my mom to check right away to see if she could save it. The head was clearly disconnected... like 6-12 inches away from the body.

    @TeachMeCode
    Sonic knew he could run to escape the loan sharks, but it was always a matter of time until they catched up. He tried telling them that he has the rings by tomorrow. The loan sharks thought he lied, as Sonic did the last time, so they employed the usual methods to squeeze out the truth.

    Same reason Shampoo has instructions on it.
    And seatbelts.

    @magicMirror shampoo is more warranted... mainly because it's a personal hygiene product. Stuff like that tends to need the explicit over-explanation because of *emotion stuff*. Basically anything for personal hygiene needs a bunch of explicit information, directions, etc., for stuff that should be common sense because *emotion stuff* makes people unlikely to discuss or ask about with other humans.

    For whatever reason this reminds of how my older brother used those all-in-one liquid soap products that were so common(targeted towards kids/adolescents) in the early 2000s, way past the logical age range... made his hair look gross.

    Are you srsly justifing:
    "Lather. Rinse. Repeat as required."?

    @magicMirror have you seriously never encountered someone on an intimate level that would benefit from those instructions?

    @awesomeest trim the bushes...?

    @IntrusionCM im not sure what you mean... upon reading that, my mind shifted to one extreme then the opposite pole. So now i have 3 assumed plausible intended meanings and all seem about the same likeliness.

    @awesomeest i was just skimming the comments...

    My brain was stuck on intimate... instructions... Lawnmower...

    Hence my association 'trim the bushes'.

    Had nothing to do with your comments, sorry.

    PS: a lot of people need these instructions.... Common sense isn't defined or measurable, see e.g. tiktok challenges and people dying (yeah. Like End of Life, Terminal, Death) for the stupidest things (cinnamon challenge and whatever)

    @IntrusionCM
    I went to germany (bayern) in high school and bought some discounted mini world cup uniform, on a cardboard hanger that included a suction cup, for a friend. It had a few lines of manufacturer and product info printed on the bag in ~7 languages. Since i was already an aspiring polyglot, i ofc started comparing the translations.

    There was one line that was only in english, not at all in the others-- "Don't hang where it may obstruct view whilst driving."

    @awesomeest I wonder how many warnings are recommendations from lawyers. Those recommendations being influenced by insurance claims and lawsuits.
