What's the best editor for web development and why?

Brackets is pretty common. And it's what I use.

Other common ones are Sublime and Atom

@jhh2450 well, I tested atom, webstorm, vs code but there is always this one ''thing''.

Atom and PHPStorm.

brackets is so clunkly it barely works and i have an i7 with 16gb ram. netbeans is ok, but no one likes it lol. notepad++ gets the job done

Simply kidding.

Alternate between Vim and sublime here. Vim if I need to frequent the terminal otherwise, sublime for playing around and to utilize both tab completion and multi-cursor. Am a hobbyist so it might not be that great of an opinion.

I use brackets its light, fast, good features and add-ons, also love the look of it.

The one you prefer.

If, on the other hand, you’re well aware of IDEs but still decided to stick to Vim, I don’t even know what to tell you. You’re like a kid that hasn’t hit puberty yet. I prefer VSCode because it has so much built in that can be adapted to your needs. Extensions, debuggers, tasks, etc.

@mrbig00 You should put up identity verification if you don't want kids on your blog tho. Just sayin'. Or is it just muscle flexing?

I think vim can be pretty fucking powerful if configured the right way. Not sure it can't reach IDE levels if desired.

@mzeffect Yes, vim can be a powerful editor, but to use it non-stop for big projects...

i use vs code with multiple plugins.
one for live preview
one for node.js
there are many plugins, just try different one
also i used sublime but switched to vs code after my friend suggested.
go on try new editors.
